1997-2001

Here I bring together 12 of my favourite works from that period. In 1997, after a 13 years’ break, I started pieces from scratch. I only participated in some collective exhibitions with suitable pieces or actions and installations in my studio.

This year I did “Cristo in the lluna” involving the use of photography within my piece and I began using formats which I had not used before. I consider art as a way of living, and I am starting to investigate using not only new materials but new methods as well.

The change in my way of working, on a text basis, gives the pieces a special strength. I am starting, more than to create from sketches, to illustrate texts which I develop prior to the pieces. From that moment on, this method will embody my work with individual symbolism and its own universe.
