Antonio Luque, Córdoba 1962 (Spain)
Since the 80s, Antonio Luque's work has been characterised by an interest in the human condition: fears and desires, identity, and mystical phenomena, sometimes mingling parts of these elements with others that are purely personal characteristics.
But it is from 2002 on when the creation of his work takes a more intimate form with “La piel de Ulises”. This work, done during his recovery from a stress-related shock, encompasses all the situations of anguish and fear, the loss of memory and time that he spent buried in his depression.
Since “La piel de Ulises” his work consists of series, always referring to his own environment or to situations either told or lived by people close to him.
The Antonio Luque series were carried out over a long period of time and each part was carefully thought-out. Throughout time he structures a work-in-progress which leads him to new ways of art investigation.
He has exhibited his work in countries such as France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain.
